Here at Hellwood our t-shirts are printed onto the Gildan Heavy Cotton brand of t-shirts (GD5000).
Material: 100% cotton.

Most of our t-shirts are printed onto the Gildan range of clothing. The Gildan tees are 100% preshrunk cotton. We find these tees are particularly suited to DTG printing and are available in a wide variety of sizes and colours. Occasionally, when stock dictates, we will use a similar brand of equivalent quality.
All of our t-shirts are manufactured using the latest Direct To Garment printing (DTG) printing methods. Unlike traditional screen printing DTG does not require detailed layer seperation, screen preparation etc which makes it the ideal print solution for detailed, multi-coloured designs. As the name suggests, all our t-shirts have their designs printed directly onto the garment using specially formulated garment inks.
For best results we recommend washing all our t-shirts inside out with similar colours and on a cool 30 degree wash. To avoid any excessive shrinkage avoid the tumble dryer and let Mother Nature do her work by line drying your tee.
Please be aware that we do not hold any items in stock. All t-shirts are printed on demand when ordered by our trusted print partners in the UK. Because of this, there is a required lead time from the date of purchase for your order to be picked, printed, packaged and dispatched.
Average lead times are between 3 and 5 working days. During exceptionally busy times (for example Christmas) production can take longer.
IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to the current lockdown situation and social distancing guidelines, workforces have been drastically reduced at every stage of the production process, from t-shirt suppliers to printers. This has had the unfortunate knock on effect of extending lead times significantly as a far smaller number of t-shirts can be produced and shipped.
Our printers are currently advising that orders can take up to 7 working days to be shipped.
While we appreciate this is far from ideal, we hope you can understand that these are exceptional circumstances and that everything that can be done is being done to get these times back down to normal levels.

Please note, we use First Class services within the UK, and many items can arrive extremely quickly (often 1-2 working days) however we have to advise that items can take their working day periods as stated in the average delivery time above. There is no guaranteed delivery date or tracking number available for First Class post.
Due to Royal Mail guidelines we have to allow a certain length of time for items to be delivered before they will be considered 'lost in post'. For deliveries in the UK this is 10 days, the rest of the world the wait period is 28 days. While it is rare for items to go missing, it can sometimes happen but on those rare occasions we'll do everything we can to assist and will, where necessary, arrange for a free replacement to be issued.
DIRECT TO GARMENT PRINTING
THE EFFECT OF BREXIT FOR OUR EU CUSTOMERS
As of January 1st 2021, the UK is no longer a member of the European Union. As a result of this, all of our EU customers will become responsible for all regional import taxes and duties levied by your local tax authority.
These charges will be paid at the point of delivery by the customer. In order to aid this process, all orders made from EU countries must provide a valid telephone number for our courier to avoid custom delays.
If you refuse or do not pay these charges, what happens next is out of our control. Because we do not print or ship the t-shirts ourselves, all returned goods will not be received by ourselves and therefore cannot be refunded. Any refund we may be able to offer will have a return postal charge deducted from it to ensure that we receive the returned item.
While we appreciate that none of this is ideal, it is unfortunately the way things are for the time being and we have no choice but to comply with the new regulations.
