Returns Policy
We want every Hellwood Outfitters customer to be happy with their order. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order, as most of our products are printed on demand after purchase.
Printed on demand products
Hellwood Outfitters does not hold most items in stock. Our shirts are printed on demand by our printing partners after an order is placed.
Because each item is produced after purchase, we cannot usually accept general returns or exchanges simply because a customer has ordered the wrong size, changed their mind, or no longer wants the item, unless a statutory right of cancellation or withdrawal applies.
Please check the size guide carefully before ordering. If you are unsure between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, misprinted, or not as ordered, please contact us as soon as possible at:

Please include:
- your order number
- your name
- a clear photograph of the issue
- a brief description of the problem
In most cases, a photograph will be enough for us to assess the issue. Where the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will usually offer a free replacement. In many cases, there will be no need to return the faulty item to us.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed, or not supplied as ordered.
Incorrect size ordered
We cannot usually accept returns or exchanges where the customer has ordered the wrong size.
Each shirt is printed after ordering, so please check the size information carefully before completing your purchase.
EU right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.
Some goods may be excluded from the right of withdrawal, including goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised, where applicable.

Your withdrawal request should include your name, email address, order number, and details of the item or items you wish to withdraw from.
Returning goods after withdrawal
If you exercise a statutory right of withdrawal and we ask you to return the goods, you must send them back without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you tell us you wish to withdraw.
You are responsible for the cost of returning goods unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or we have agreed otherwise.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied evidence that you have sent the goods back, whichever is earlier.
Goods should be returned to the address we provide when confirming your withdrawal request. Please do not return items to our printing partners unless we specifically instruct you to do so.
Condition of returned goods
You may inspect the goods as you would in a shop.
You are responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
We may reduce your refund if returned goods show signs of use, damage, washing, alteration, staining, odour, or other handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them.
Refunds
Where a refund is due, we will refund the eligible amount to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
If you exercised a statutory right of withdrawal, we will process any refund due within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.
Where required by law, we will refund standard outbound delivery charges. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional cost above our standard delivery option.
We do not charge restocking fees for statutory withdrawal returns.
Sale items and gift cards
Gift cards are non-returnable.
Sale items may be excluded from discretionary returns, but this does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or where a legal right of withdrawal applies.
