But beyond this he was a man who was not only the most extraordinary character in the world of tech, but has a strong claim to be one of the most colourful, notorious and downright preposterous people on the planet.
John McAfee was arrested in Spain in 2020 over U.S. tax evasion charges. He died of an apparent suicide while in custody, shortly after his extradition to the US had been agreed. Conspiracy theories abounded, not least because of a tweet he had sent while in prison that stated...
